At The Well

At The Well was founded to make Jewish wellness mainstream and bridge the divide between the deep well of Jewish wisdom and a growing community of spiritually minded women.

Women are frequently lacking spaces to explore their identities at the intersection of spirituality, feminism, and wellness. At The Well was founded to make Jewish wellness mainstream and bridge the divide between the deep well of Jewish wisdom and a growing community of spiritually minded women.

By reclaiming the ancient ritual of Rosh Chodesh through “Well Circles” -- women’s gatherings to mark the monthly celebration of the New Moon -- At The Well is enabling more than 1250 women through 125 Well Circles worldwide to share space and develop positive relationships with their minds and bodies. Digitally, At The Well is engaging thousands more. In 2019 alone, over 2,000 people joined At The Well’s text and email campaigns, such as the forgiveness campaign for Elul. At a time of increasing isolation for women in the Jewish community and beyond, At The Well is providing women with the emotional, intellectual, and physiological nourishment they need to thrive.

Today, At The Well creates and distributes a monthly collection of written materials, all rooted in stories from ancient Jewish texts from the Torah, Kabbalah, and the Talmud to Well Circles around North America and the world. At The Well’s signature curriculum also helps other organizations build their Jewish wellness skills and capabilities, in an effort to catalyze systemic change in  Jewish life and in the wider field of women's wellness.
