Facilitate Board Matching

At a time when many Jewish organizations must adapt, recharge, and respond to pressing concerns, Slingshot is re-imagining philanthropic leadership to be more than financial giving.

Through our partnership with UpStart, we're matching emerging philanthropists with social entrepreneurs, to create a powerful force for driving change and building the Jewish future. Young Jewish Philanthropists can apply here.

The Pilot Initiative with UpStart

  • This pilot initiative will provide emerging philanthropists with a way to impact the field in a meaningful way. It will also enable the ventures in the UpStart Venture Network to strengthen their governance by bringing emerging philanthropists who have received board training onto their boards. A curated matching process will ensure that these ventures are ready to absorb new board talent and board members are ready to make meaningful contributions to growth, scaling, and impact. Please see the FAQ and Program Description for more details about this program.

  • Eligibility: Candidates for Board Matching must have completed the PJSF x 21/64 Board Leadership Course distributed by Slingshot, the Slingshot Fellowship, or another qualifying board training program. Please see the FAQ and Program Description for additional details.

  • Timeline for the Process: The application is now open and runs through December 2022. Please see the FAQ and Program Description for additional details.

  • Office hours: To learn more about this opportunity, four office hours with Slingshot and UpStart will be scheduled for you to answer any questions that you have. Please see the Program Description for additional details.
